Definition
“Recruitment is the process of searching the candidates for employment and stimulating them to apply for jobs in the organization”.It is the process of creating a group of qualified candidates for vacancies within organizations. In other words, recruitment is a selection process done for hiring the right person into the workforce or organization.
According to (Plumbley, 1990) Effective Recruitment policies and practices are recognized as making a significant contribution to an organization’s success. It is not simply about placing suitable candidates into jobs, it is also about building and developing a flexible and adept workforce to suit the organization’s changing and demanding needs .
- Internal Recruitments Recruit people who are already working in the organization. The HR people publish the circular on notice board and online portal to invite the deserving employees to participate in the interview via they can also upgrade their position level and avail their career growth. In this case, employees refer their resume personally and sometimes by their internal communication portal
- External Recruitments - Recruit from other organization/company/institute or fresh graduate people

Selecting Candidates - Interviewing, testing, shifting applications, offering employment, obtaining references, preparing contracts for employment.

ReplyDeleteIn modern businesses context, recruitment and selection play a huge role in an organisation. when select candidate we have to select the right time, right people in right place. especially employer have to align with the long-lasting employment rather than 'hiring and firing '.
ReplyDeleteCompanies hire new employees which already work in another companies with attractive salary and other benefit packages but, most of the time, they are unable to adopt to companies vision and mission since their ultimate target is to perform for a shorter period and get a better job opportunity.

ReplyDeleteselecting a wright candidate is been big problem for the HR people ,i think before the selection of a candidate if we can do some face to or some deep discussion with him regarding the his plan and all the other objective of his life we can get the some idea about him and weather he is is OK with us or not and other thing person all so get rid of the interview fear normally every candidate has .
